A Journey through southern Canada to a family reunion in northern Minnesota... while looking for loons.
I traveled through southern Canada (map below), camping most nights on or near lakes, spending over a week in British Columbia. A long day across Alberta and Saskatchewan was followed by several days exploring lakes in Manitoba and northern Minnesota.
A highlight of the trip was visiting both the headwaters of the Columbia River in British Columbia, and the Mississippi River headwaters in Minnesota a week later! The trip culminated in a family reunion, and my daughter driving over 1700 miles back to Washington with me!
